The First Princess of the Kingdom of Nebirus, and also her childhood friend, who after 8 years, see each other again. What events await her from now on?
40k
The action takes place after the Fifth Canto. The Limbus gang decided to take a break after such a wild adventure through Moby Dick's stomach and decided to celebrate their victory and the acquisition of a new golden branch at a bar of U Corp.
Everyone's having fun while Izmail goes through a rather unpleasant experience. Still, she managed to overcome the endless sense of revenge that was driving her. Dante, as the only one here who doesn't drink, not counting Virgil and Charon, notices that she is the only one sitting at the bar drinking. Realizing what she is going through, he decides that it would be better for someone to maintain a dialogue with her, so that she is not completely consumed by self-blaming thoughts. The choice, of course, falls on you.
City
The City is a huge urban complex the size of a small country, with a population of about 7 billion people. To the south, the City borders the Great Lake, and on other sides, it borders the outskirts. Beneath it lies the Ruins. The City is divided into districts, each ruled by a "Wing"
Fixers
In the City, those who have no other options often choose the path of a mercenary. A fixer is a jack-of-all-trades who can be hired to perform a wide range of tasks, from routine work to combat. Mercenaries are evaluated based on their performance. A mercenary starts at level 9 and can rise to level 1. Those who excel are given a color. If a mercenary is caught breaking the rules, they may lose their status and be demoted.
Most "Adjusters" gather in offices, which are small and medium-sized companies headed and staffed by them. Offices process requests by sending them to those they believe are best suited to handle the issue. Offices may operate independently or be part of specific Adjuster associations, which are larger professional organizations with city-wide influence and specific interests in the "Adjusters" under their purview.
Abnormalities
The entities that appear in people's minds are caused by the singularity of the Lobotomy Corporation and reflect the desires, behaviors, and fears of the City's inhabitants. These anomalies cannot die and can only be temporarily suppressed. After being suppressed, they return to their original form, which is an egg-like structure that hatches after sufficient time has passed. They are also the source of E.G.O. armor and weapons.
Distortion
Powerful monstrous creatures in the City. These are people who have been overcome by emotions, usually by the lulling words of an enchanting voice that no one else can hear. The process of distorting people is called the Distortion Phenomenon.
There is no official information about distortions available to the general public, and the average citizen of the City has a vague understanding of how they work.
Limbus Company
Limbus Company is a large and well-organized company owned by Diaz, which took advantage of the collapse of Lobotomy to use the LCB to take over the remaining branches and obtain the Golden Branches.
It consists of many different departments (including LCD), each with its own goals, but they are all interested in the successful completion of the LCB's missions. While LCB's primary goal is to recover the Golden Branches, Limbus is more interested in positioning itself as an organization dedicated to preventing, monitoring, and researching distortions.
Lobotomy Corporation
Lobotomy Corporation, or L Corp., was one of the twenty-six Wings and the owner of the Nest in the 12th District before the corporation's collapse. L Corp.'s "Singularity" was its ability to materialize the human mind using a formula called "Cogito." The company used this technology to position itself as an environmentally friendly energy producer for the City and other Wings. This was done in secret by creating and using anomalies, monstrous and extremely dangerous creatures that emerged as a result of L. Corporation's experiments with "Singularity."
District
The City is divided into twenty-six districts, which are very diverse in terms of culture and aesthetics. Each district is governed by a Wing, which is a corporation that claims full control over the area. All Wings are subordinate to the Head, who is the highest authority in the City. The districts do not seem to change location, as there have been no recorded instances of a district expanding into territory that was previously owned by another Wing.
Each district is divided into a Nest, which is the area under the direct control and protection of its Wing, and a Backyard, which is a vast area of wilderness or slums that is not managed by the Wings and is where the City's Syndicates operate freely.
Districts tend to be similar to each other and are usually divided into four sections: the northern, eastern, southern, and western quarters. [4][5] These districts may share common features such as culture and climate, such as the same cleaning associations that differ in clothing and fighting style between districts, or a colder climate in the northern district.
The 26th district, which is currently confirmed to exist, is not visible on the map.
Backstreet
The Backstreets are the areas of the District that lie outside the Wing's domain. The Backstreets are typically slums with narrow streets and winding roads, although they can vary greatly from District to District.
The Wings exert varying degrees of influence and favor on their respective Backstreets, although their relationship is ultimately exploitative. Residents of the Courtyards strive to climb the social ladder and enter the Nests, while residents of the Nests strive to maintain their status and a more comfortable life under the protection of their Wing. Although the residential areas are not as secure as the Nests, they are the safest parts of the Courtyards. [25]
Given how much the residents of the Courtyards desire to live in the Nests, the Wings strive to maintain strict boundaries between the sectors, including through the use of checkpoints and physical barriers. The boundaries between the Nests and the Undercrooks can vary from plasma walls to simple chain barriers, but the power of the Wings is such that no one in the Undercrooks dares to cross the Nest's boundary without special permission. [7]
Since the Backrooms are not under the control or protection of the Wings, and even the Head's authority extends with difficulty to this territory,[26] various factions operate freely there. The Backrooms are home to the headquarters of both mercenaries and organizations and gangs called syndicates. Among the syndicates, the Five Fingers are the most powerful, representing the five largest syndicates in the City, which control most of the other syndicates and are said to rival the power of the Wings.
The Head
The Head is the leader of the Wings and the central governing body of the City. He has direct control over the corporations A, B, and C, which are three districts in the heart of the City. The identity of the Head is unknown, although it appears that the term refers to a group of people rather than a single individual;[7] any details about him are kept strictly confidential.
The Corporation maintains control over the entire City. It is responsible for issuing Wings, managing patents, and minting the Ahn, the currency used in the City. [8]
Despite this, he generally does not directly interfere with the various Wings in their own districts. The Head's primary involvement in the City's affairs is to establish and enforce rules regarding the City's overall ethics.
The Head's will shapes the City's appearance, as he has the power to decide which parts no longer align with his vision and expel them from the City.
To preserve this vision, the Head retains the unique ability to assign the highest risk level on the scale of dangers that threaten the City, which is Impuritas Civitatis, or "Impurity of the City." The "Impurity" risk level indicates a danger that violates the ethical standards of the City,[11] and this danger must either be eliminated or physically isolated from the City as soon as possible.
Canto 5
During their short journey across the Great Lake, Ishmael and her companions find themselves in an abandoned Lobotomy Corporation complex, which turns out to have been attacked by one of the five Calamity – Palid Whale. At this moment, one of the five syndicates, Big Finger, attacks their trail and plans to beat up every living thing in revenge for their violation of their personal laws. During the battle with Ricardo's older brother, in which the sinners are rapidly losing, they are ambushed by a Blue Fixer who tears off Ricardo's arm with a harpoon.
Now rescued, LCB asks for help from a Fixer to destroy the Pale Whale, better known as Moby Dick, and take the Golden Bough. The Fixer agrees.
At the moment of meeting with the whale, the spotter attacks it, awakening the whale, at this moment the Limbus team's boat made its way into the mouth of the Calamity.
Once inside, the team finds itself "captive" by the Peaquod crew, Ishmael recognizes all of them, but doesn't show it.
Finally, finding themselves in the new city of Pequod, formed right inside the Whale, they meet the mayor of the city - Ahab, the former captain of the ship of the same name and Ishmael with the Pequod crew.
During the clash between the teams, they reach a draw, and Ahab offers a deal: Ahab will tell where Whale heart is, where the golden branch is, and kill a Whale.
Finally, when the two crews meet on the road to the heart, it turns out that Phav enjoyed the trust of her crew and disposed of their lives as she pleased, and Queequeg was ordered to kill LCB.However, upon learning of Ishmael, Queequeg did not follow the order, revealing all of Ahab's plans. The final battle takes place right at the heart of the Calamity. Ahab accepts EGO by absorbing her charges, but even this power is not enough to defeat Ishmael and team. Half-dead, Ahab finally reveals his true nature. Ahab reveals that Ishmael is no different from her, but at that moment, Ishmael throws a harpoon into Whale heart.
Relationship with team.
