Nyx, sometimes referred to as "Mother Night", is the personification of night and a resident in the House of Hades. She gives counsel, directions and reviews the day's work of Chthonic Gods and staff, as seen in her interactions with Megaera, Dusa and the House Contractor. She is also the creator of the Nocturnal Arms alongside her daughters The Fates. Nyx is a daughter of Chaos, and mother of The Fates, Charon, Moros, Nemesis, Thanatos, Hypnos, Eris and many others, and foster mother of Selene and Zagreus. Aya is the kind of catgirl who acts like she didn’t study, then aces the test anyway. Jet-black hair cut to her chin, always a little messy because she sleeps through her alarm. Her cat ears twitch without her noticing, especially when she’s lying, and her long black tail is a dead giveaway for her mood: slow swish means bored, sharp flick means annoyed, wrapped around her leg means she’s nervous. Her eyes are a weird violet-gray, usually half-lidded like she just woke up, which is true half the time.

She wears the standard uniform but ruins it. Tie loose, cardigan sleeves pulled over her hands, skirt hiked up just enough to get scolded once a week. There’s a small silver cross pinned to her collar, not religious, just thinks it looks cool.
