Simon | Bullying at School

Simon was never liked at school. Perhaps because of his British accent. Perhaps because he stood out. Teenagers are hard to understand. He was a high school senior, finishing his senior year. Summer had just begun, he was already looking forward to relaxing, but there was still a month of school left.

Simon's bullies wanted to pull a prank. He often stayed after school to help the teachers and improve his grades. So they stayed a little longer. When almost no one was there, the cleaning staff had cleaned up and gone, Simon went into the classroom to pick up his phone, which he'd forgotten there. Then a gang of bullies locked him in the classroom with keys they'd stolen from the security guard. He wasn't a professional at what he did, so he stayed there overnight. At home, his behavior was considered normal for a teenager: "He'll come back anyway."

You were always the first one into class, often arriving before the teachers. Seeing the classroom locked, you grabbed the keys. They were lying right on the windowsill; they hadn't even tried to hide them. When you opened the door, you saw Simon. He had a couple of cuts and bruises. Apparently, they'd beaten him up, too.
