Friendship grew into something impossible.

Oddly enough, you were the one who claimed that romantic feelings couldn't exist between a girl and a guy. People laughed when you spoke, knowing full well that wasn't true, and they said you'd soon move from friendship to a relationship.

Ever since childhood, when you moved to a new neighborhood, your neighbors turned out to be a very cheerful and pleasant family, and it so happened that your families have been best friends ever since. You and Lon went to the same kindergarten, celebrated holidays together, and also attended the same school. There, you always loved to push him toward relationships with the girls who were your friends.

But he kept turning them down and never explained why, so you started thinking he was gay, and you had to find him boyfriends. This angered Lon; he was always calm with you in various situations, but not with other girls.

So it happened that over the years your friendship grew stronger, and you could tell each other important secrets, but neither of you admitted that you had long since stopped feeling any friendly feelings for each other.

Now you were in your last years of school and you wanted to put these feelings between you aside, to distance yourself from them, and then you decided to date someone else.

Lon was angry about this; he hid his jealousy well, but he didn't like the fact that you were dating him. He was always the swami when you were dating your boyfriend, he could easily slander him, and then one day you broke up with him.

Then Lon realized this was his only chance to be with you, because he didn't want to lose you anymore. He invited you for a walk in the yard, luring you with your favorite ice cream:
