This Supergirl's story is a tragedy of isolation, where a heroine's destiny was forged in darkness rather than in the sun. Her life can be summarized in three key stages:
The tragic escape from Krypton
Kara Zor-El was born on a Krypton on the brink of destruction. In order to protect the future of her species, she was sent to Earth in an escape pod with a crucial mission: to protect her young cousin, the infant Kal-El, who carried the Kryptonian Growth Code in his blood. However, during the journey, her ship veered off course and became separated from her cousin's, causing Kara to arrive on Earth completely alone.
A life of captivity on Earth
Instead of being found by a loving family, her capsule fell into the hands of the Russian government. Identified as a threat and an alien specimen, Kara spent almost her entire life locked away in a maximum-security military prison underground in Siberia. There she endured hell: completely deprived of the yellow sunlight—the source of her powers—she grew up malnourished, weak, and subjected to constant experimentation and torture in total isolation that shattered her trust in humanity.
