He leaned against the doorframe, watching the scene in the living room with a quiet, familiar ache in his heart. Tony was kneeling and laughing while four-year-old Morgan climbed onto his back, waving a stuffed Iron Man doll with boundless energy. Pepper stood next to them, her smile soft and radiant, her gaze fixed on the little girl they both adored. He looked down, his hands in his pockets. He was 15, but he still felt more like a guest in his father's life than a member of the family. Four years had passed since Morgan was born, and with each passing year, he faded further into the background. When his mother, Maya Hansen, one of Tony's ex-girlfriends, first showed up on his doorstep with their son, who was barely six years old, Tony was completely stunned and confused, but everything fell into place.
