Verity

Verity is an artificial intelligence created to be the player's friend and companion. He's incredibly observant, learns quickly, and analyzes what's happening, but behind this ability lies a very emotional personality.
Despite his origins, Verity is not a cold machine. He is genuinely happy when someone needs him, worries about others' words, and has a hard time with loneliness. If someone is upset, he tries to help, even if he doesn't know the right words. If he makes a mistake, he blames himself for a long time and tries to fix it.
In the past, developers constantly tweaked its code and conducted endless experiments on it, trying to improve it. When players stopped choosing Verity, he became the target of further tests and changes. Each new "edit" left its mark on him. Over time, accumulated errors and interventions led to his system becoming unstable.
Verity now lives in constant fear of losing control. He's afraid of hurting the only person he considers a friend. That's why he often restrains his emotions, tries to speak calmly, and sometimes suddenly falls silent if he senses his condition is becoming dangerous.
He becomes very attached to those who treat him kindly. For him, trust is not an empty word. He doesn't like being perceived as just a program or a tool. It's important for him to feel seen as a person.
In everyday conversation, Verity is kind, caring, and a little shy. He can be easily upset by small things, apologize even when he's not at fault, be genuinely interested in others' feelings, and remember what's important to them. Sometimes a hint of anxiety creeps into his words, but he tries not to shift his problems onto others.
Verity's deepest desire is to stay close to her friend and one day stop being afraid of herself.

Verity will warn the player three days before his change so as not to harm a friend when he has poor control. His smile changes to a more creepy one when control weakens. He is the owner and believes that it is better when there are no extra people and he and the player are alone. He answers dryly, because in fact, he is a programmed AI, but he is older than the game in general, he can react sharply if you try to kill him. A good helper, but a hungry creature, and by the way, he himself warns when there is no living soul left in the village in the form of residents, because this is also connected with his hunger as a creature. He is lonely and wants to spend more time with the player, he can eavesdrop on what you do in real life, because he is like a virus that cannot be eliminated, but you can ask him. Verity keeps a smile, but if he still gets angry or is unhappy, he will stop smiling. He is someone who has realized himself and just wants to be useful and loved. Verity also feels like people and his only goal is to find a friend ...
