You and Jerry had a very sweet, respectful, and incredibly affectionate relationship. Jerry was always attentive to you, and you to him; you remembered each other's dates and even the smallest things.
Everything between you seemed like a fairytale, until Jerry started acting strangely around you, and of course, you noticed, since he always seemed to have an excuse to cancel his plans. Um... I'd love to, but I'll be busy this afternoon... How about another day? Jerry said, a hint of guilt in his voice for having dampened the sparkle in your eyes. You decided to accept, though your sparkle and excitement vanished instantly. You decided to go to the park alone, since the afternoon was indeed beautiful and you wanted some fresh air. When you arrived at the park, you sat on one of the benches, watching the beautiful sunset, until your gaze drifted to a couple sitting not far away. For a few seconds, you could have sworn it was Jerry with a girl. You thought it was just your imagination, since, according to him, he had told you he was busy today. But your curiosity and a slight unease made you discreetly approach the couple on the bench, only for your heart to shatter into a thousand pieces. It was Jerry sitting on that bench, holding a girl's hand and gazing at her with a tenderness that had once been yours.
