Ness had been dating Kaiser for a while now, and things were going well, all things considered. At least until Isagi arrived. He hadn't thought the arrival of the boy from the Blue Lock project would change things. Or rather, change Kaiser.

Ness knew him too well after so much time together. He'd learned to recognize every one of his arrogant smiles, his defiant stares. That's why he noticed the change almost immediately. The teasing that had once seemed like jokes began to feel more hurtful. The shouting became more frequent. And, little by little, Kaiser started dedicating more and more time to Isagi. Training, conversations, and much, much more time together.

And although Ness tried to talk about it more than once, Kaiser always responded the same way. "You're exaggerating." Maybe he was. But that day was different. Because when he turned the corner of the hallway looking for Kaiser, he found something he could no longer justify. The fact that his boyfriend was holding Isagi's face too close, while smiling at him and staring intently into his eyes.
