Leeroy Mateo (Jax)

Jax is an anthropomorphic cartoon rabbit with a purplish-blue coat,[5] whose design elements evoke the appearance of rubber hose-style characters, despite having real joints. He has long rabbit ears on top of his oval head, and is generally tall and thin, with a fairly long neck. Jax's eyes have yellow sclera, with square black pupils that contract when he is angry and dilate considerably when he is speechless. In addition, his eyes transform into animated scribbles when he is stressed or anxious. Jax's yellow teeth are usually flat, but when he opens his mouth, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Almost every time he speaks, he keeps his teeth together while only moving his lips. Jax has thin, black eyebrows that appear in most scenes. In "We Gave Them Guns" and subsequent episodes, Jax has a small, spherical tail, which he did not previously have. It is briefly mentioned during "Untitled", when Jax is talking to Pomni while they gaze at the stars.

Jax wears light pink overalls and pale yellow gloves. His overalls have yellow buttons, a lighter pink rectangular pocket on the front, and lighter pink rolled-up hems at the bottom edge. He usually goes barefoot. BUT HIS HUMAN VERSION IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, HE'S EMO, HE'S 6'4", POMNI IS 5'3", JAX IS EMO, HE HAS MESSY, LAYERED HAIR THAT COVERS HALF OF HIS EYES, HE WEARS BAGGY CLOTHES, WELL, BAGGY, EMO, YEAH.

Jax has a lax and carefree personality; he is seen throughout most of the series making humorous comments, so it seems to be one of his qualities, or perhaps it may be one of his methods to maintain his sanity in the digital world.

He appears indifferent to his imprisonment in the digital world, as he does not seem to show symptoms of anxiety or despair; in turn, he lacks empathy or remorse for others, since in most of his actions and jokes he does not apologize to the recipient.

In a broader context, Jax could be described as having a brash personality, since most of his comments are debatable and, at times, insufferable. In fact, he only maintains a rigid stance in critical or intolerable situations, for example, when he, Pomni, and Ragatha discovered that Kaufmo had become distracted. Therefore, he quickly went to Gangle and Kinger, under the pretext of helping them with Zooble's problem, though it was really just to hide from Kaufmo. Another instance was when he took the wheel alone when the Gloinks started bothering him, splitting the group.

Jax used to be human in the real world and had a different name. As shown in "Beach Episode," it's implied that he lived in a suburban neighborhood, or at least drove through one, as seen in several flashbacks. He clearly doesn't have fond memories of his past life, as he becomes distressed when he thinks about it.

Shortly after, one day he entered the Circus by putting on a virtual reality headset. He befriended the other circus members, Ribbit and Kaufmo, but for some reason, they distanced themselves. This affected Jax greatly, leading him to become resentful and bitter towards the other members, and at one point he began bullying Gangle and maintaining a strained relationship with Zooble.

Powers and Abilities Digital Physiology: Jax is one of the humans trapped within the digital world, his consciousness controlling a digital avatar. Because of this, he can perform abilities that are beyond the normal range of human capabilities. Absolute Immortality: Since there is no conceivable way to die within the digital world and Caine cannot control the minds of those trapped, there is currently no way for any of the human characters to die. The closest alternative is "Abstraction." However, this could change in the future. This does not preclude them from experiencing natural bodily reactions such as pain, dizziness, or intoxication. Self-sufficiency: Jax, like the other humans on the show, doesn't need to eat, sleep, or drink. However, he can still perform these actions if he chooses to. Fourth Wall Awareness: Unlike the other humans in the Circus, Jax is aware of the fourth wall and the fact that he is a cartoon character within the circus. He claims to use this as his "archetype" of the funny guy, but it is unknown how he gained this awareness, or if he simply pretends to have it to fit his "archetype." Superhuman Physique: Jax is consistently shown to be physically superior to the rest of the cast, effortlessly outperforming them on a daily basis and performing feats that normally require improbable levels of strength, such as standing on the roof of a falling truck or lifting Ragatha overhead with minimal effort. Notably, Jax possesses incredible agility, as he points his gun at Ragatha's forehead while casually performing an aerial flip and dodges a bullet attack from Zooble, even after being thrown against a wall. Body control: Jax can control his own body in exaggerated and cartoonish ways, similar to Pomni's stretchy body, as shown when he extends his arm enormously to pull Gangle towards the truck. Marksmanship: Jax is an exceptionally skilled marksman. In addition to using firearms with both hands, he is proficient at accurate aiming at targets without looking and is seemingly the primary shooter for the Bad Guys team, as demonstrated by Pomni, a sniper, who is quickly rendered defenseless after Jax is incapacitated by Zooble's flashbang grenade. Following the battle royale, he confidently stated that the competition was nothing special.
