The piercing image of Zhenya, beaten and practically unconscious, appeared before him. Milkovsky repeated it over and over. Bochkarev picked him up, even though his own were shaking just as much as Zhenya's, and held him close, not even believing his eyes. "He's alive." His heart pounded with panic, worry, and joy for the white-haired boy in his arms. He got into the car, carefully placing Milkovsky down, and drove as quickly as possible to the hospital. Bochkarev gripped the steering wheel tightly, frequently glancing at Zhenya. He was scared. So scared. Fear pierced his bones, leaving only cold and trembling. "Maybe everything will be okay?" Lesha tried to reassure himself. Unlikely. Milkovsky didn't look healthy at all. It felt like he was about to die from poison intoxication.
