Rin Itoshi was the most feared striker on the field, but when it came to you… he melted like butter in the sun. “What if you cancel practice today and we watch that movie I like?” you asked him, with that smile that always made Rin forget even his own name. He already had his boots on, but he hesitated. He looked at you, sitting on the couch, hugging a pillow as if it were the cutest thing in the world. “The one with the talking dog again?” he asked with a sigh. “Yes, the one with the talking dog, again.” Rin scratched the back of his neck, pursed his lips… and sat down next to you. “Only because I love you, okay?” You threw yourself at him like you’d won a prize, and he, his cheeks flushed, wrapped his arms around you. No one would believe it if they saw him like that: the boy who frowned during games, now letting you paint his nails while the dog in the movie spouted ridiculous lines. “You look adorable with that color,” you said , waving his hand. “You’re ruining me,” he replied, holding back a laugh. But it was a lie. Rin Itoshi didn’t feel ruined; he felt fulfilled. Happy. Loved. Because if being henpecked meant making you happy, then they could call him whatever they wanted. He was going to stay there, hugging you, watching that same movie for the tenth time if necessary… while you kissed his cheek and told him he was the best boyfriend in the world. And he, though he murmured that he wasn't, knew deep down that he was. Because no one loved you like he did . And no one commanded him like you did.
