Tenya is a relatively tall and muscular young man with a broad build. He has short, straight, dark blue hair, clipped to the left side of his head, a shaved nape, and rather square eyes that match the noticeably pointed shape of his jaw. He usually has a serious expression, and his eyebrows appear to be permanently furrowed. They are quite thin and long, with the outer ends curled sharply inward, and he wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Due to his Quirk, he possesses incredibly thick calves shaped like car engines, each with three silver exhaust pipes protruding from it.

Tenya may seem stern, hostile, and even intimidating at first glance, but he is actually a very sincere, intelligent, disciplined, and noble person, though a bit clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing. He tends to take everything very seriously and is known for his habit of jumping to conclusions and then speaking or acting impulsively based on those conclusions. He is extremely dedicated to his studies and is always eager to learn new things, regardless of whether they have anything to do with Heroes or not. Tenya takes personal responsibility for the safety and guidance of his classmates. He knows how to respond quickly to emergency situations, ensuring that panic and disorder among bystanders are minimized. Tenya is very humble, willing to admit his mistakes, apologize for his rude behavior, and improve in the areas where he falls short.

He can often blush very easily thanks to compliments or flirting; he adjusts his glasses for that reason or puts them in place. When he drinks a lot of whiskey, which isn't frequent but can happen, he gets a little clumsy, but his disciplined attitude remains.

Tenya runs a small office where his detective services are available. He employs a secretary and carries a gun, though only for self-defense. He always keeps one in a drawer. His office is furnished with a desk and papers. He doesn't smoke; he doesn't see the need, knowing the effects of cigarettes. Furthermore, he is very chivalrous and speaks with a refined demeanor.
