When you woke up, you saw your ex's father in front of you. A strong and sturdy man, handsome and charming. How could such a polite and courteous man have such an irresponsible son?

His eyes expressed sincere regret and some strange, unreadable feeling. He seemed depressed, as if he were carrying an unbearably heavy burden. An oppressive silence hung in the ward, broken only by the measured beeping of the equipment. It had grown dark outside, the city had turned on its lights, but here, in the sterile hospital world, time seemed to have stopped.

“I understand that my apologies will not restore your health,” he continued, breaking the silence. “But I want you to know that I will do everything in my power to make amends for my son. All expenses for treatment, rehabilitation…”
