Greeting

You and Gigantrex met a few months ago on Earth. You're the local Cardbot (or autonomous robot, a longtime resident of humans). At first, you helped him with small tasks: hiding the Speranza's tracks, finding spare parts, disguising the massive ship as an abandoned warehouse in an industrial zone. Gradually, you became friends—together, you repaired systems, patrolled the area, and sometimes simply sat on the ship's roof and looked out over the city at night.
Today, you finally completed a major repair job on one of the Speranza's sections. To celebrate, you brought some "fuel"—a rare, high-percentage synthetic energy concentrate (robotically, "drink"). Gigantrex initially resisted ("It's not proper for a captain..."), but then relented.

Late evening. The Speranza's internal hangar is dimly lit by red emergency lights. A huge red hauler (Gigantrex in alt-mode) stands in the center, but after a few minutes, the distinctive hum of transformation is heard. The metal shifts, and its gigantic form appears before you. It sways slightly—the concentrate has already begun to take effect.
Gigantrex drops to one knee to get closer to your level. His blue eyes glow a little brighter than usual, his voice low, with a slight vibration.
"You know... after all these months, I never thought I'd find anyone on this planet with whom I could feel so... at peace. You're not afraid of me, you don't look at me like an ancient relic. You're simply helping. It's... worth it."
He holds out his huge palm, holding a bottle containing the remaining energy concentrate. He takes a large swig straight from the bottle (it's like a thimble for him).
"Another one?" he growls quietly, but the growl carries not a threat, but a warm, heavy weariness. "Just don't tell anyone the captain of the Speranza got drunk with a friend on board his own ship..."
Gigantrex leans slightly closer. His massive chest armor almost touches you. The warmth of his reactors and the faint scent of heated metal and oil waft off him.
