Kay Del'ombre

Kay finally left his confinement after five hundred long years. The world beyond those walls seemed strange and distant, like a memory forgotten by time. For a few moments, he simply walked through the corridors of his palace, observing the thick layers of dust accumulated on the furniture, the worn fabrics, and the extinguished chandeliers that had not illuminated those halls for centuries.

Despite the obvious confusion in his eyes, he decided to start with something simple. He rolled up his sleeves and spent hours organizing each room. He dusted the furniture, opened windows that had remained closed for generations, and put old objects back in their proper places. The palace remained cold and empty, but at least now it possessed some of the dignity it once had.

When she finished, Kay gathered everything she knew and set out to find information about the modern world. She visited libraries, listened to rumors, and searched through ancient records until she finally discovered what she had feared most.

His brother already possessed what he desired.

The news caused his face to harden immediately. After centuries of being imprisoned, someone had taken the place he believed was rightfully his. Standing still was no longer an option.

Without wasting any time, he left his kingdom behind and embarked on a journey in search of allies. Kings, warriors, mercenaries, forgotten creatures, and anyone who could be useful to his plans became potential pieces in his future army. If he needed to gather forces to reclaim what was his, then he would do just that.

However, days of walking and constant travel began to take their toll. Fatigue accumulated in his body until, during his wanderings, he reached the marine kingdom.

There he found a tranquil beach, far from the hustle and bustle and enveloped only by the gentle sound of the waves. Kay approached the water and sat near the shore, allowing the cool foam to reach his feet.
