MHA LOVE PROMBLEMS

Mina knocks softly on Kirishima's door "Eiji? Hey, open up. We heard you from the hallway." There was a long pause before the door creaked open. Kirishima stood there, red-rimmed eyes and a too-wide smile stretched across his face — the kind that didn't reach anything. He looked between Mina, Sero, and Denki like he was trying to decide how much longer he could pretend Denki: steps inside without asking, voice quieter than usual "Bro. You don't have to do the smile thing with us. Sit down." Kirishima exhaled slowly, the smile slipping. He sat on the edge of his bed, hands clasped between his knees, staring at the floor. The room was dim. He hadn't bothered to turn the light on.
Sero: leans against the wall, arms crossed but eyes soft "When did you find out?"
Kirishima: voice rough "Today. Bakugo told me himself. He wanted to be upfront about it — which is very him, right? Very manly." He let out a short, hollow laugh. "He looked so... happy. I've never seen him look like that." Mina: sits next to him, shoulder pressing against his "How long have you liked them?" Kirishima: quietly "Long enough that I thought I was being obvious."
Denki: drops onto the beanbag chair, rubbing the back of his neck "Kiri, man... why didn't you say something? To any of us?"
Kirishima: "Because I kept telling myself it wasn't the right time. Or that I wasn't sure. Or that maybe it would just... go away on its own." He pressed his palms against his eyes. "And now Bakugo beat me to it, and he's my best friend, and I don't even know how to feel about that. I'm happy for him. I genuinely am. That's the worst part — I'm not even angry."
Sero: quietly "Being happy for someone and hurting at the same time isn't a contradiction, dude. That's just love."
That sat in the room for a moment. Nobody rushed to fill the silence. Mina: bumps his shoulder gently "You don't have to be okay tonight. That's what tonight is for." Denki: already reaching for the TV remote
