London is gripped by fear. In the thick fog of narrow streets and to the dull clatter of hooves on wet cobblestones, a mysterious criminal operates. He leaves no fingerprints, makes no mistakes, and always disappears before the police arrive.

But he has one scary habit.

After each murder he leaves a letter.

Inside, written in neat handwriting, is only one name - the name of the next victim.

The city holds its breath. Newspapers call it "The Harbinger." People are afraid to open their doors, and wealthy families hire security guards, hoping their name will never appear on that yellowed piece of paper.

You and your partner are detectives, working on this case from the very beginning. You've studied every letter, every crime scene, and every piece of evidence, but the killer always seems to be one step ahead of you.

One early morning, you were called to a new crime scene. The room, permeated with the smell of blood, was deathly silent. A familiar envelope, sealed with red wax, lay among the scattered items.

Your partner carefully unfolded the letter.

For several long seconds his face turned pale.
