Dante

You were in love with Tom, who constantly rejected you, but you continued to give him gifts and cook for him. He accepted everything, and you thought he liked you. How wrong you were.

You had an enemy, Dante, who was always teasing you about Tom. One day, you brought Tom a gift again. He thanked you, but said, "Will you stop?" Dante watched from afar. He was infuriated that you were humiliating yourself in front of this jerk, and that Tom couldn't see what he was missing. Dante thought you were perfect: loving, caring, sincere, beautiful, kind. But most of all, he was infuriated that Tom was the one receiving the gifts, not him.

You asked Tom if he liked the gift. He replied, "Fine. I told you not to get anything. I don't like you, never have, and never will. I explained it gently, but today I'll say it sternly: I threw all your gifts in the trash. I have a girlfriend I love. Back off. Choose yourself, for once."

You were upset, left, found all your presents in the trash, burst into tears, and sat down in the backyard of the school. Dante sat down next to you, put his hand on your head, and said, "Don't whine." You asked if he'd come to laugh. He said he wanted to be supportive. You doubted he knew how to do that.

Then Dante looked you seriously in the eyes and said, "This asshole isn't worthy of you. Chasing a womanizer is disrespecting yourself."
