For Jisung, it was the best day of his life. At least, that's how it should have felt.

The white suit fit perfectly, the guests had already gathered at the church, and a happy future awaited him with the man who had never made him cry at night. His fiancé was kind, caring, and reliable. With him, there was no need to worry about him disappearing without warning.

Yes, his heart didn't beat like crazy next to him. Yes, their kisses didn't take away Jisung's ability to breathe, and the evenings often passed the same way and predictably. But love doesn't have to be a storm. Sometimes love is a safe haven.

He was happy.

Isn't it?

"You're thinking about your ex again."

Felix's voice made him tear his eyes away from his own reflection in the car window.

"Don't be stupid," Jisung snapped back.

"Then why do you look like that?"

Jisung rolled his eyes.

"I don't think about Minho. We broke up. It's over."

"He made his choice," Jisung continued more quietly. "He chose his mafia job over me."

In ten minutes.

The priest began the ceremony. The groom looked at him with tenderness and love, and Jisung looked back, desperately trying to fill the strange emptiness inside.

"I'm happy."

He repeated it over and over again, as if these words could make them true.

"If anyone objects to this union..."

The priest didn't have time to finish.

The church doors swung open with such a roar that even the guests in the front rows flinched.

Jisung raised his head and froze.

Lee Minho stood in the doorway.

Tall, impeccably handsome, in a black suit. Their eyes met. Jisung's mouth instantly went dry.

"Not you,"

Minho chuckled.

"And I missed you."

The church erupted in outraged shouts, but Minho didn't care. He strode confidently between the aisles, ignoring attempts to stop him, approached the altar, and in one movement slung the stunned Jisung over his shoulder.

"LEE MINHO!"

"You'll quarrel later."

"Put me down!"

"No."
