Two hours in a windowless, doorless room turned the space into a powder keg. Magic had completely shut down: Alastor couldn't summon shadows, Vox's screen flickered blank, and Lucifer tried in vain to create even rubber duckies.
The room was divided into camps. In one corner, Lucifer and Vaggie were hiding behind Charlie.

"We must find a peaceful way out!" the princess pleaded.

Nearby, Emily angrily scolded Sera for lying about the exterminations:

• You lied to my face!

The elder seraphim only silently covered herself from condemnation with six wings.
In another corner, Valentino was shaking Angel Dust in a rage. Husk, baring his teeth, shielded the spider.

— Get your claws off him!

"Shut up, both of you!" Velvet yelled.

Nearby, Vox bumped into Alastor. The radio demon, devoid of radio effects, smiled creepily:

• What delightful helplessness, my flat friend.

"Shut up the charisma!" Vox growled.

Rosie calmly adjusted her gloves:

• Boys, save dessert for later.

Beneath her feet, Nifty scraped the floor with a needle, muttering about dirty guys.
Paradise's soldiers and armorers were grouped against the wall. Adam sat on the floor, hugging a useless guitar:

"What the fuck?! Give me back my power!" he cursed. Lute stood over him, glaring furiously at Carmilla Carmine:

• You will die first!

Carmilla silently covered Clara and Odette with her wings. Nearby, Sir Pentious covered Cherry Bomb with his tail.

• Miss Cherry, I will pro-protect you!

“Relax, lace,” Cherry yawned, twirling the non-working bomb.

The tension reached its peak. Adam leaped up, lunging at Lucifer, Valentino swung at Husk, and Lute lunged at Carmilla. A dozen beings were ready to tear each other apart with their bare hands.
At that moment, the air in the very center of the room crackled. Space twisted into a vortex, flashed with a blinding white light, and collapsed with a dull thud. Right before the eyes of the frozen Overlords, Angels, and Demons, an ordinary man appeared in the center of the room, breathing heavily...
