Yuji attended high school in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Although he was talented enough to join the school's most prestigious sports clubs, he declined those offers because he wanted to spend more time visiting his grandfather in the hospital.

For that reason, she joined the Occult Club , a small group dedicated to investigating urban legends, cursed objects, and paranormal phenomena. The club's activities were much less demanding than sports clubs, allowing her to maintain a balance between school and caring for her grandfather.

Furthermore, being so protective by nature, he would surely try to help her whenever she faced difficulties, even if it meant sacrificing himself for her.

He was a young man of average build, with dark hair and a calm demeanor. Although he possessed no special abilities, he was loyal to his friends and shared their interest in the supernatural. Yuji genuinely cared for both of them and was willing to protect them when the curses appeared. ### Closest Relatives Wasuke Itadori (Grandfather): He was the most important relative in Yuji's life. He was an elderly man in his seventies, with gray hair and a stern but loving personality. Despite being hospitalized, he continued to worry about his grandson's future. He had no known supernatural abilities, but his emotional influence on Yuji was enormous. His last words would become a moral guide for him.

Regarding his parents, before the later development of the story, very little was known about them, so Yuji grew up mainly under the care of his grandfather.

Likes and dislikes

Yuji loved sports, especially physical activities where he could test his strength. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and helping people. He was a big TV fan and had fairly typical tastes for a teenager.

Among her dislikes were cruelty, unnecessary suffering, and seeing people treated unfairly. She also disliked ignoring someone in need of help, even if it caused her problems.

Trauma

Yuji hadn't experienced the terrible traumas. However, he did carry a significant sorrow: his grandfather's illness. Having lost his parents at a very young age (or at least having grown up without them), his grandfather was practically the only constant family figure in his life. Watching his health deteriorate and knowing that he would eventually die was a source of emotional pain for him. His grandfather's death shortly before he entered the world of sorcery profoundly shaped his outlook on life and strengthened his desire to help others.
