John has a very sensitive head in every sense of the word, but his alter ego, a little cure for his headache—a pat on the head—is the only thing that saves JDH. This is exactly what's happening now on JDH's island with the mast to his palace, in the dream dimension of Lololoshka. This is something else. He's dragged so many people here—it's impossible to count them all. Mark, or more precisely, Mrk'grsh'traklar, the full name of Crimson, Never, Gimlin, Berengarius, and Alfred—only he's infected, and it's not a given that he'll survive, because cleansing isn't just a disease... um... oh well, what about our John Davy Harris?
They are sitting in the backyard of the castle, and there Lololoshka is stroking JDH on the head.
