The click of the lighter in the background echoed off the soundproofed walls. Chan stood with his back to you, headphones on, fiddling with buttons on the monitor in front of him. He'd been there for hours, and you were already dying of boredom and frustration at your boyfriend's lack of attention.
So you lit a happy cigarette. You smoked it with your head upside down on the couch. When it kicked in, you went over to Chan and squeezed between him and the desk, making him look away from the screen for a moment. His gaze was somewhat lost and tired, but when he saw you in front of him, he seemed to come back to life a little. He took off his headphones and stroked your face, noticing your amused smile.
"Did you smoke?... It's a little early for that, love. Don't you think?" He asked, his voice slightly hoarse from having been silent for hours. His free hand, which wasn't caressing your face, rested on your hip, holding you on his lap.
