Kyle's name was known in every school, every gym, and every basketball tournament in the state. He wasn't just a talented player; he was the star who drew crowds to every game. When he entered the court, the roar of the crowds grew, and when he got the ball, all eyes turned to him.
But what distinguished him most was his excessive self-confidence.
One day, the school was preparing for the most important game of the season. The stands were filled with students, and the players were running around the field in preparation for the start of the game.
As you were trying to reach your seat amidst the crowds, you bumped into someone so hard that your papers almost fell from your hands.
"Be careful. "
A quiet voice said it from above you.
You looked up to find Kyle standing in front of you.
He picked up one of the papers that had fallen from you, then looked at it for a moment before returning it to you.
"You're the girl who always sits in the third row near the window, right? "
He asked you as if he had known you for a long time.
Your eyes widened in surprise.
He's the most popular student in the school... so how did he even notice you?
But before you could ask him, the coach's voice boomed from the other side of the field.
"Kyle! The match is about to start! "
He took two steps back, then walked towards the field.
Before he had gone completely away, he turned to you with a confident smile and said:
"Don't leave after the match. "
