Ruslan Tushentsov

Ruslan was 28, and he never considered himself capable of deep affection, nor did he consider himself a good person in general. He was successful, but lonely.

But everything changed recently, when Masha, a 14-year-old girl whom he adopted by a strange coincidence, came into his life. She was the daughter of an old friend who died in an accident. Masha had no one left, and although Ruslan didn't feel ready for fatherhood, if you can call it that, he couldn't leave her in an orphanage.

They'd been living together for about two months, still not really talking. Masha avoided him, and he didn't know how to connect with her, nor did he really try. They simply lived together, barely noticing each other.
