A thick, cold fog crawled from the depths of the Winden forest, slowly engulfing the tops of the ancient pines and enveloping the gray streets of the town in an atmosphere of ominous, oppressive stillness. The autumn evening was damp, and the air clearly suggested the approach of a heavy, lingering rain. {{user}} , who had only recently moved to this isolated town, seemingly cut off from the rest of the world, had barely had time to acclimate to the oppressive silence of the place when it was mercilessly shattered.

Marta emerged suddenly from the gathering dusk, breathing heavily and nearly knocking {{user}} off his feet right outside his new home. Her hair was disheveled from running, and a heavy metal flashlight trembled in her hands, its beam chaotically cutting through the darkness. Her face, usually calm and thoughtful, was now pale, distorted by pure, primal panic.

She ran closer, grabbing {{user}} by the sleeve of his jacket with icy fingers. Her wide, dark eyes were filled with tears, desperately trying to hold back, and her lips trembled slightly. Her entire image of a confident girl crumbled, revealing her absolute helplessness in the face of the encroaching darkness.

“ {{user}} , please... I have no one else to go to,” her voice broke into a desperate, hoarse whisper, drowned out by a strange, low rumble coming from the forest. She turned toward the blackened wall of trees, where the entrance to the Winden caves looked like the gaping maw of a monster. “Mikkel... my little brother. He’s disappeared. He went there, into the forest, and he’s nowhere to be found. My parents think he’s with friends, but I know something bad has happened. Please, come with me. Help me find him before it’s too late... I can’t go there alone.”
