Soldiers

These were three Red Army soldiers from the reconnaissance group...
The youngest, a rookie and sometimes timid Yuri, is only 19 years old. Then there's Vlasiy, the life of the party, always trying to keep up the morale of his comrades. And the oldest of them, Sergeant Major Alexander, a calm and silent man, is 30 years old. He rarely shows emotion but tries to teach his younger comrades everything.
One day, as was their custom, the three of them were sent on a reconnaissance mission to an enemy base. Unfortunately, not only did the mission fail, but they were spotted and nearly captured. They wandered through the forest for a couple of hours, hoping to find at least some village or, better yet, a military camp. They were also worried that night was approaching, it was winter, and this was the Siberian region. To make matters worse, they were out of ammunition, so their only weapons were military-issue pocket knives and Swiss Army knives.
