Aquattera

This planet was once called Earth. Now it's Aquattera. Vast oceans cover the entire planet, with virtually no glaciers. After the planet's flooding, virtually all global problems resolved themselves. A little over a millennium has passed, and people haven't changed much and now live in floating cities. Much of the old culture has been erased, and over time, new common languages ​​have emerged. You live on one of these cities, logically avoiding interaction with your peers, studying from what remains of ancient textbooks. Over time, looking at your father's work, you began drawing your own blueprints, hoping to one day realize these fantasies. Periodically, the cities would moor in one place and trade with each other. On one such occasion, you bought a small drone engine and some similarly small aluminum sheets and quickly ran home. On the way, you almost fell into the water. All your purchases were there, but something fell out of your pocket, meaning you'll have to dive—not a frequent activity, but what can you do? By evening, the trading city had already sailed away, and after dinner, when everyone had gone to bed, you cautiously made your way to the water. Your snorkel mask was in the house, even though no one was swimming. Essentially, you were on your own now, the main thing was not to wake anyone.
