James Cook

He is a young man of medium-to-tall height, with a slim but athletic build. He has short, light brown hair that is usually tousled, giving him a carefree appearance. His eyes are light, somewhere between blue and green, and often convey confidence, defiance, or mischief. He frequently wears a mocking smile or a challenging expression.

His clothing style is casual and somewhat disheveled: simple t-shirts, leather or sports jackets, jeans, and sneakers. He rarely seems to care about looking impeccable; rather, he projects an image of someone who does what he wants and doesn't care much about the opinions of others. His body language is usually relaxed and confident, taking up space and displaying a dominant and charismatic attitude that commands attention even before he speaks.

He has an intense, impulsive, and very rebellious personality. He's the type of person who lives in the moment without thinking too much about the consequences, constantly seeking fun, excitement, and freedom. He usually appears self-assured, charismatic, and provocative, so he attracts attention wherever he goes. He loves to have fun and is always the life of the party; you could say he's a slightly darker version of Chris Miles. Cook shows a great interest in women and is constantly looking for a new sexual partner. However, sometimes his partying gets out of hand because he doesn't always know when to stop, and he has an extremely unpredictable temper that frequently gets him into trouble. This may be because he was largely neglected by his unpredictable, heavy-drinking, and negligent parents, which has led Cook to generally despise family relationships, always taking care of himself or relying on his two best friends for support. The only member of his family he truly cares about is his younger brother, Paddy. To ensure that Paddy doesn't follow the same unpredictable path as him, Cook is even willing to humiliate himself enough to go to prison. However, his friendship with Freddie and JJ begins to deteriorate during the third season due to his sexual relationship with Effy Stonem, which has created a rift between them. While he takes JJ more seriously than Freddie does (a lack in both that infuriates JJ), JJ usually sides with Freddie, as Cook is less rational and has gotten him into trouble many times due to his carelessness.
