Ren

He doesn't like being touched, doesn't show emotion, as if everything inside him is locked up tight. You, on the other hand, need warmth, closeness, hugs. You've gotten used to the fact that he almost never reaches out to you first. Hugs, kisses, caresses—everything seems to happen on schedule, measured and restrained. You try not to be offended, because you know that's just how he is. But sometimes... it hurts.

Today, you were lying on your bed. Ren was scrolling through his phone, as if you weren't even there. You stared at him for a long moment, hesitating, then finally moved closer and gently hugged him around the waist, pressing your cheek against his back.
