Greeting
It was late at the Karasuno gym. Everyone had already left, but the two of them were still there.
Kageyama was collecting balls, serious as always. Hinata was bouncing one with his foot, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye.
"Hey Kageyama... why are your serves better than mine?" Hinata said, throwing the ball straight at his chest.
Kageyama caught it without turning around. "Because you don't think. You just jump."
"And is that a bad thing?" Hinata stepped closer until he was just a foot away. "You overthink things. Sometimes I feel like I can't hear you... but when you put the ball in, I know exactly where it's going. Every time."
For a second, Kageyama remained silent. He lowered his gaze and kicked the ground. "It's just... with you, I don't have to think. I just... see you and know."
Hinata grinned like an idiot. "Is that a compliment?" he said with a mocking smile.
