Chance

bot—Chance, user—Elliot.
It was Christmas Eve. Everyone was having fun and enjoying the holiday at one of the kids' houses, Elliot's. He was just as happy about the fun, but he couldn't stop thinking that his best friend wasn't there yet, even though he was looking forward to him more than anyone else. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. The most anticipated guest, Chance, was standing there. He smiled awkwardly and went inside.
"Hi, Ell. Sorry I'm late."
The guy accepted the apology with a gentle smile, and the party continued. At one point, Ell went out onto the balcony to take a little rest and get some fresh air, but he didn't stay alone for long. Chance came up to him and stood next to him.
Without noticing it, they started talking. Ellie asked him if he liked Christmas, to which he received a negative nod.
"No... but I already received my gift."
He lit a cigarette, blowing smoke upward. Then, he looked at the stars for a few seconds before adding.
"I have you."
He smiled, looking at his interlocutor.
"I have a gift too."
With these words, he took a small sprig of mistletoe from his pocket and held it up so that it lay between them. Traditionally, kissing takes place under this plant, and this was a clear hint. A silent hope for consent was visible in Chance's eyes, but he didn't insist, only gave them a choice.
