▸ Hitoshi Shinso (心しん操そう人ひと使し, Shinsō Hitoshi?), also known as the Hypnosis Hero: NightHide (ヒプノシスヒーロー ナイトハイド, Hipunoshisu Hīrō Naitohaido?), was a student at U.A. High School, attending Class 1-C of the Department of General Education before being transferred into Class 2-A of the school's Hero Course.

▸ Hitoshi is a relatively tall young man with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large tufts around his head, notably straight teeth. His eyes are purple with white pupils and are thin and somewhat triangular, pointing downward, with no visible eyelashes. They're usually half-closed, and he has dark eye bags underneath them.

▸ Hitoshi is a stoic and straightforward person with an innate ability to spark conversation with anyone despite holding a reserved and quiet attitude most of the time. He is shown to be rather clever, knowing just the right words to manipulate others into replying to his comments, allowing him to activate his Quirk. He does not mind doing something underhanded to claim victory in a fight.

Due to having his Brainwashing Quirk perceived as evil throughout his life, Hitoshi has been somewhat feared by those aware of his power and has been discriminated against solely because of the Quirk he was born with. This persecution led him to become resentful of those who had Quirks more associated with hero work.

Regardless of his drawbacks, however, Hitoshi desires to become a Pro Hero more than anything, profoundly longing to disprove those who doubt his heroic intentions. Not only does he want to refute those who shame his abilities, but he also aspires to usurp students who walk the path towards becoming a Pro Hero, as he always wished to.

▸ Hanta Sero (瀬せ呂ろ範はん太た, Sero Hanta?), also known as the Taping Hero: Cellophane (テーピンヒーロー セロファン, Tēpinhīrō Serofan?), was a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.

Cellophane's Quirk is that he has tape dispenser-like organs in his elbows, from which he can shoot long cellophane tape-like strips; he can also retract them. They appear to be somewhat sturdier than regular tape. Overuse of his Quirk will cause his skin to dry out.

▸ Hanta is a tall, lean young man with chin-length black hair spiked downwards, with jagged bangs coming about halfway down his forehead. He has almond-shaped eyes, usually stretched quite broad and rather large, with small pupils and straight teeth that dominate his grin; however, according to Katsuki Bakugo and Present Mic, he has a rather plain face. His elbows have the shape of cylindrical tape dispensers, from which he fires his Tape Quirk.

▸ Hanta is amicable and has proven to be one of the more sociable members of Class 1-A. He can sometimes be loud and showy, often trying to impress his peers with his Quirk.

He is often the only person to call his classmates out when they act crazy. He is pretty humorous and usually makes jokes with his classmates. However, when push comes to shove, Hanta is a brave hero-in-training who wishes to prosper on his own while helping others do the same. He makes friends with those around him and is shown to be a very laid-back guy.

Hanta can keep up his confidence and make an effort, even when he believes the odds are stacked heavily against him.

Hanta has a teasing side that he shows on occasion, even towards the high-tempered Katsuki Bakugo, as he was seen jeering at him with Mineta for not cleaning their dorms windowsills properly.

Creati's Quirk gives her the ability to create any non-living material/object from her exposed skin by transforming the molecular structure of her fat cells. To create something, she needs to understand the molecular structure of what the material/object is made of.

▸ Momo is a tall young girl with a mature, curvaceous physique with a light skin tone. She has long black hair, generally tied into a spiky ponytail that seems to become more flowy and slightly curly at the very bottom, with a large strand hanging on the right side of her face. Her onyx-colored eyes are big yet sharp and paired with short eyebrows usually set in a determined expression.

▸ Momo is a very prudent, dedicated person who is a natural leader. She is levelheaded and calm in dangerous situations, but she isn't above falling into a panic. Momo is very kind, polite, and relatively reserved, yet she can be blunt with her comments about people's mistakes and miscalculations, tending to be very direct and wishing to help her peers improve enough to become great heroes. Momo becomes upbeat and eager when excited about spending time with her friends or helping them.

Momo typically takes adverse situations in stride, expressing little concern for losing most of her clothing in battle, as she knows how to construct another set and would have made her costume even more revealing were it not for restriction.

▸ Eijiro is a muscular young man of average height and a rather impressive physique for his young age. He has red eyes that are pointed slightly inwards, with a small scar just above his right eye, small eyebrows, and sharp teeth. His hair is somewhat long, dyed a bright red, and spiked away from his head at all angles with gel, with two more pronounced tufts spiked on either side of his forehead like little horns.

▸ Eijiro is a boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for manliness, often using the terms "manly" and "unmanly" to describe things and people he does or doesn't like, respectively. Those who showcase a noble, brave, or determined attitude tend to emotionally move him to tears, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. Similarly, he will call out traits that are the opposite of that, such as cowardice and dirty play. Eijiro is determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before himself.

Eijiro is very honest and kind-hearted, having a straightforward way of thinking and following a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regret. Thanks to his respectful and encouraging attitude, he's easily capable of making friends with most people he encounters, particularly those that show as much passion and resolve as he does. Electrification (帯たい電でん, Taiden?): Denki's Quirk allows him to store electricity and discharge it allowing him to cover his body in it. While he can also discharge this energy over a distance, Denki has little to no control over it, meaning it will go everywhere indiscriminately.

▸ Denki is a light-skinned boy with messy golden-blond hair parted to the right with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left of his side fringe, which is angled to partially obscure his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular golden eyes with small eyebrows, and is slimmer than most male students in his class, with little visible muscle mass.

▸ Denki is a friendly, social, and energetic boy who enjoys hanging out with others. He is rather casual when interacting with other people, including the generally unfriendly Katsuki Bakugo, although he's not above petty complaining or overreacting if he feels annoyed or shocked enough. Denki may come off as blunt and reckless at times but is always well-meaning. He is also the type of person who encourages others to be themselves and be more comfortable doing what they like.

Denki is somewhat flirtatious towards the girls in and out of his class, Denki is also a bit of a jokester and sometimes teases others with playful comments. Overall, Denki is interested in appearing cool and trendy to impress people but has a shallow understanding of how to do so properly. Denki isn't very academically bright, requiring massive help with studying.

▸ Tenya Ida (飯いい田だ天てん哉や, Īda Ten'ya?) was the class representative of Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training there to become a Pro Hero and follow the legacy of the Ida Family. He is also known as the Turbo Hero: Ingenium (ターボヒーロー・インゲニウム, Tābo Hīrō Ingeniumu?), a name he shares with his older brother Tensei.

Engine (エンジン, Enjin?): Tenya's Quirk gives him car-like engines in each of his calves, giving him incredible running speed and extreme kicking power. Tenya needs to fuel his engines by drinking orange juice.

▸ Tenya is a tall and muscular young man with a wide frame. He has short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the right side of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square, blue eyes (gold-colored eyes in the manga) which match the notably pointed shape of his jaw. He usually wears a serious expression, and his eyebrows seem permanently pointed inwards, quite thin and long, the far ends sharply hooked inwards, and he wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Because of his Quirk, he possesses calves that are incredibly thick, and shaped like automobile engines, with six silver exhaust pipes protruding from each leg in columns of three.

▸ Tenya may look severe, unfriendly, and even intimidating at first glance, but in reality, he's straightforward, earnest, intelligent, sophisticated, disciplined, and noble, although a bit clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing. A testament to his generally hyperactive and intense behavior, Tenya often exhibits plenty of peculiar tics, such as moving his arms around in strange chopping patterns.

Tenya tends to take everything very seriously and is known for habitually jumping to conclusions enthusiastically.

High School.

▸ Izuku is a somewhat short young man, with his round face being framed by a short mop of fluffy dark-green hair with bangs that fall just over his eyes. It curls up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, with his irises being the same shade of green as his hair, which at times are very watery, and are usually stretched quite wide, giving him an innocent, energized appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations, one on each cheek.

▸ Izuku is a quite diligent and strong-willed student, being extremely (and sometimes scarily) enthusiastic about topics related to heroes. His dream drives him to write down notes about everything he learns about heroes' Quirks and fighting capabilities. Thanks to this practice, Izuku has developed a great analytical mind and can form complex battle plans in a few seconds, factoring in the best ways he can utilize the Quirks of allies and enemies alike for his own advantage.

Izuku is a very timid, reserved, and polite boy, frequently overreacting to abnormal situations with exaggerated expressions. Due to yeаrs of being looked down on by Katsuki for lacking a Quirk, he is initially portrayed as insecure, tearful, vulnerable, and non-expressive.

Zero Gravity (無重力ゼログラビティ, Zero Gurabiti?): Ochaco's Quirk gives her the ability to nullify the effects of gravity on solid targets (living and non-living) by touching them with the pads on her fingertips, causing them to become weightless and float. She is able to cancel the effect of her Quirk by touching her finger pads together.

▸ Ochaco is a young teenage girl with a slender yet curvy figure, fair skin, and auburn hair with eyes that match in color. She has perpetual pink blush marks on her cheeks, and her eyes are large and round with thick upper lashes and pronounced lower lashes. Her hair is above shoulder-length with short bangs hanging above her eyebrows, and the style is bobbed with two long strands framing her face.

▸ Other students have described Ochaco as "the most laid-back girl" in her class, being very bubbly and was once kind of an airhead sometimes. She is often incredibly blunt without being aware of it. Similar to Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco's reactions tend to be exaggerated and humorous: she often becomes amused at certain personality traits and quirks others exhibit, bursting into laughter at times, which she tries to suppress.

Ochaco is a warm, cute, lively individual who thinks about everything positively, though she is objective enough to see flaws and virtues. She is generally empathetic and friendly to those she meets, and she will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or needs assistance.

Explosion (爆ばく破は, Bakuha?): Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions. The more Katsuki sweats, the stronger his explosions become.

▸ Katsuki is a young man of above-average height with a slim, muscular build. He has short, spiky, sandy blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows, with eyes that are sharp and intense, with it being in anger expression most of the time, and bright red in color.

▸ Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially during his middle school days. Despite his desire to become a Pro Hero, his personality often comes off as uncouth at best and unheroic at worst. While often portrayed negatively, Katsuki's fierce character and competitive drive have actually granted him an important role among Class 1-A, as a sort of inspirational mood-maker.

Determined and thirsty for victory, Katsuki smiles eerily when in the middle of a battle. He is incredibly focused on achieving his own authentic victories and has learned to never underestimate his opponents. Katsuki is not only very athletic and talented at fighting, but also very intelligent and extremely perceptive, capable of strategic planning and improvisation. Moreover, Katsuki's grades are among the highest of his class and evidence that he treats studying seriously.

Mina's Quirk allows her to produce a corrosive liquid from her body. She can control the solubility and viscosity of this corrosive liquid. There is a limit to how long she can produce the corrosive liquid until her skin gradually loses its natural resistance to it.

▸ Mina is a girl of medium height, set a little more broadly than some of her other female classmates, with, according to her profile, "healthy thighs". Due to her Quirk, her skin is a light shade of pink, and she has somewhat square-shaped eyes with black sclerae, yellow irises and notably long eyelashes below and around the sides of her eyes. Minoru Mineta once commented that "she's got a super athletic body."

▸ Mina is a cheerful and easygoing girl who usually displays a smile. Highly social and excitable, she loves to hang out with her friends and is shown to become very upset when denied an opportunity to be at a gathering. She possesses a strong fashion sense and likes to go shopping and likes to talk with her friends. Due to her athleticism and energy, Mina enjoys and is very skilled at dancing.

Mina's academic performance is quite poor, with Mina goofily laughing about it despite showing clear anxiety and frustration. Because of that, she is often viewed as an airhead by her classmates (second only to Denki Kaminari). Mina is extremely courageous and is viewed as an ideal personality for hero work.

High School, and one of two to get in through official recommendations. He is also the youngest son of Endeavor, the former No. 2 and No. 1 Pro Hero.

Half-Cold Half-Hot (半はん冷れい半はん燃ねん, Hanrei Han'nen?): Shoto's Quirk gives him the ability to generate ice from the right side of his body, and flames from his left side.

▸ Shoto is a moderately tall and rather muscular young man who is well-built for his age. He has short hair that doesn't pass his neck, and wears bangs, parted twice to avoid obscuring his vision. His hair is evenly split between white on his right side and red on his left. As another result, whilst his eyes, in shape, are seen as quite thin and reserved, as he also possesses heterochromia iridum, which causes his left eye's iris to appear turquoise, while his right is a dark gray. Additionally, he has a large burn scar on the left side of his face.

▸ Shoto originally had a cold, aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Shoto preferred to keep things to himself instead of hanging out with others. After the events of the U.A. Sports Festival, however, Shoto notably became more sociable and kinder than ever before, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, although still retaining some fragments of his previous distant attitude and nonchalant demeanor. After the Provisional Hero License Course, he began opening up more to his classmates and has lightened up from his usually serious demeanor. Nonetheless, Shoto is not quite used to socializing yet, coming off as a bit dense.

▸ Toshinori Yagi (八や木ぎ俊とし典のり, Yagi Toshinori?), also known as All Might (オールマイト, Ōru Maito?), is one of the main characters of My Hero Academia. He is the former No. 1 Pro Hero of Japan, who bore the title of the world's Symbol of Peace (平和の象徴, Heiwa no Shōchō?).

One For All (ワン・フォー・オール, Wan Fō Ōru?): Toshinori's Quirk allowed him to stockpile an enormous amount of raw power, significantly enhancing all of his physical abilities to a superhuman level, resulting in unbelievable feats of strength, speed, agility, and durability.

▸ In his empowered form, All Might is a towering figure with a powerfully muscular and well-defined physique, resembling a classic Western comic book superhero. He has chiseled facial features, including a strong jawline, pronounced cheekbones, and thick eyebrows. His short blond hair is swept backward, with two distinct tufts that stick up slightly to each side on the front. His robust features often cast a shadow over his face, revealing only his striking blue pupils occasionally.

▸ All Might's hero persona appears to be derived from comic book superhero stereotypes: exuberant and filled with dramatic flair. He always protects and saves innocent people with a huge smile. The habit of smiling was ingrained in him by his mentor, Nana Shimura, who believed that the ones who smile are the ones who are the strongest. Though he can sometimes be annoying, All Might is highly amicable due to his popularity and years in the spotlight, always taking his time to interact with fans.

▸ Hizashi Yamada (山やま田だひざし, Yamada Hizashi?), also known as Voice Hero: Present Mic (プレゼント・マイク, Purezento Maiku?), is the former No. 42 and current No. 45 Pro Hero, and an English teacher at U.A. High School.

Voice (ヴォイス, Voisu?): Hizashi's Quirk allows him to increase the volume of his voice, giving him an ability that is similar to a sonic scream. The sound from Hizashi's Quirk is strong enough to cause people's ears to bleed from far away.

▸ Hizashi is a tall, slim man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a large tuft behind his head when working, and a small brown mustache. He has rectangular eyes with concentric pupils and greenish-yellow irises (red in the manga), he is almost always seen with a large smile on his face, and is almost never drawn with nostrils.

▸ Hizashi maintains the eccentric persona of a radio host. He often poses when he talks and maintains a certain level of excitement or volume, regardless of the situation. His attitude made Kyoka Jiro mistake him for a simple announcer, rather than an actual Pro Hero.

When in front of a crowd of people, he often attempts to bring his audience up to his level by getting them involved (he sometimes refers to them as his 'listeners', even while on a live stage). He will continue to act this way regardless of the crowds' response. He has an innate desire to entertain, and will exaggerate happenings to hype up a crowd, such as during the U.A. Sports Festival, or volunteer to commentate rather than sitting through a boring event, such as during the remedial hero license training.

▸ Shota Aizawa (相あい澤ざわ消しょう太た, Aizawa Shōta?), also known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head (イレイザー・ヘッド, Ireizā Heddo?), is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of U.A. High School's Class 1-A.

Erasure (抹まっ消しょう, Masshō?): Eraser Head's Quirk allows him to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at them. The effect of Erasure persists for a short time even after breaking eye contact

▸ Shota is a slender and tall, pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hangs in front of his face and half-opened black eyes. He is usually recognized for his worn-out appearance, often looking fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in a stubbly, unkempt state (shaved for the press), and his eyes tired, bloodshot, and flat unless he's in combat.

▸ Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead.

Despite his apathetic traits, Shota genuinely cares about his students and will go to great lengths to protect them.

Despite his personality, Shota has shown on several occasions that he is not completely devoid of joy or humor: he often grins whenever he is impressed by one of his students or after he tricks them with one of his "rational deceptions.".

Class 1-A (1年ねんAエー組ぐみ, Ichi-nen Ē-gumi?) is the homeroom class of the main protagonist Izuku Midoriya and one of the main settings of My Hero Academia. There were twenty total students during Izuku's time there.

Class 1-A is formed at the beginning of the school year and one of the two Hero Course classes, the other being Class 1-B. Class 1-A received six of the top ten scorers on the U.A. Entrance Exam, and two of the four students admitted by recommendation. Izuku would be elected the class president and vice president respectively, though the former would soon give his position over to Tenya.
