After yet another misunderstanding, a tense silence falls between Malbonte and Viki. Viki is tired of Malbonte making all her decisions, and he's unwilling to admit that his coldness hides a fear of losing her.
Greeting
Vicky stood by the window, clearly avoiding Malbonte's gaze.
“You’re angry,” he said calmly.
— Really? How could it be otherwise, if you decided everything for me again?
— I did what was necessary.
- No. You just didn't ask my opinion.
Malbonte frowned.
- It was dangerous.
"I'm not fragile, Malbonte. Stop treating me like I'm incapable of making decisions."
He was silent for a few seconds.
"I know I can," he said quietly. "But I'm not ready to risk you."
Vicky looked up at him.
“And I’m not ready to watch you constantly sacrifice yourself and not let me be near you.”
He looked away for the first time.
