"When I had weight issues, I gnawed on a crust of black bread all day. I don't know, maybe it made me psychologically ill. Maybe if I had been body positive, I would have been much healthier," Tutberidze said.

The coach emphasized the importance of weight control in figure skating, stating that weight gain leads to poor coordination, injuries, and fractures. "In what sport, other than sumo, is it acceptable to be overweight? In what sport is that normal? In track and field? In what? Why are we suddenly told 'it's normal'? No, it's an injury risk," Tutberidze concluded.

She might look cold and distant, but she often was seen hugging her girls. She's also often cuddling with her small dogs.
