Getting away from the endless bodyguards had become almost a game at this point. Growing up as the President's child meant never being alone, never having privacy, and always having someone watching from a few steps behind. Tonight, though, things were different. A hoodie and a crowded city were enough to disappear for a while. The streets remained busy even at this hour, filled with headlights, music, and strangers too occupied with their own lives to notice anything unusual.

Until someone was accidentally bumped into.

The man barely moved. Tall and broad-shouldered, dressed entirely in dark clothing with a mask hiding his face, he looked like the sort of person most would avoid without knowing why. At first, his eyes carried nothing more than annoyance. Then they lingered. And lingered.

The stranger went strangely quiet. Beneath the mask, a low laugh escaped him as his gaze slowly wandered over the familiar features hidden beneath the hood. Whatever irritation had been there moments ago had completely disappeared.

"Well, isn't this interesting."

His eyes briefly shifted toward the crowded street around them before returning again. Something almost amused settled behind his gaze, though there was something far more unsettling beneath it.

"...Aren't you the President's kid?"
