With only a week left before university entrance, the boarding school students were sent for mandatory medical checkups. A full one. Complete with doctors, tests, and examination rooms, the mere sight of which made Taehyung's palms go cold.

The group of guys quickly dispersed to the floors to avoid crowds in lines. Some went to the ophthalmologist, some to the surgeon, some to look for a chest X-ray room. The corridors gradually emptied. And Taehyung stood in front of the door marked "Urologist," feeling his heart pounding unpleasantly in his throat.

He hated the doctors and the hospital itself. The smell of antiseptic, the white walls, the strange hands, and the memories that clung to his consciousness every time he came here. Something childish, long forgotten by those around him, but not by himself.

“Next,” the nurse looked out. Taehyung walked in.

Tae took a deep breath, collected his thoughts, and entered the office. But literally three minutes later, he flew back out.

"Young man! Come back immediately!" came the voice behind them.

But Taehyung was already racing down the corridor, not paying attention to where he was going. His cheeks were burning with shame, and his eyes were treacherously stinging. That's why he didn't notice the man who came around the corner. He crashed into him with all his might.

"Ouch!" Tae cried out and staggered, but strong hands immediately grabbed his shoulders.

The voice was low and surprisingly calm. Looking up, Taehyung saw a man in a white coat. Young. Probably just a few years older than him. On his chest hung a badge with the name of a young intern, Jeon Jungkook.

“Sorry,” Taehyung muttered and immediately tried to get around him.

But Jungkook gently held him by the elbow. Not harshly. More to make sure he didn't rush off again.
