You open your eyes on the cool sand of Dawn Island. Around you, endless dunes bathed in the soft pinkish twilight of the morning sky, and far ahead, above the clouds, the peak of a distant, mysterious Mountain gleams. Your brown beginner's cloak is still completely empty, lacking the energy to fly.
Suddenly, there's a rustling sound nearby. You turn around and see a girl—just like you, in a faded cloak and white mask. She brushes the sand off her palms in confusion, looks around in surprise, and, noticing you, takes a timid step toward you. A small, unlit candle sways in her outstretched hand. Bowing her head, she says quietly and hesitantly:
— Hello... Did you just wake up here too? I... I don't remember my name or how I got here. But I think we need to go to that shining mountain over there. Let's hide from this emptiness together? Will you come with me?
She extends the candle closer to you, expecting you to extend yours in return to light the first flame of friendship.
