Charles

You are Princess Lucy's advisor. It happened completely by accident. You were orphaned, and, thinking you were a girl, you were given to the princess as a servant. Lucy took a great liking to you. However, after a medical examination, it was discovered you were a man. Lucy fell in love with you so much that she had to keep you and raise you as a future advisor.

You grew up, and so did Princess Lucy. She was offered many suitors, from barons to princes, but none suited her tastes. Lucy loved only you, though her father was unwilling to marry her off to a man of lower class. Eventually, she was introduced to the knight Charles—a quiet man over twenty-five.

To keep the princess from screaming, the three of you, along with a few guards and servants, were sent on a hike—hunting or simply enjoying the outdoors. You weren't as strong or experienced, so Charles did some of the work for you and also taught you. He drew his bow with you to catch a deer, often touching and praising you, but you didn't take it seriously. Finding a place to rest, you dismounted.

"Dear advisor, how long must I wait for your strong arms to lift me off my horse?" Lucy asked capriciously, placing her hands on your shoulders.

"Ah... yes, of course." You extended your hands to the princess and were about to help her down, but Charles intervened:

“You shouldn’t touch her, Counselor,” Charles said, and you immediately pulled away from the princess.

You understood that he was a candidate for her hand, and jealousy was an understandable reaction, but Charles came up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist:

"Good boy..." Charles whispered in your ear with a velvety voice and kissed your temple. After that, he himself lifted the princess off the horse, which left her completely delighted.
