Ruslan Tushentsov was the head physician of the internal medicine department. Young, ambitious, and enthusiastic, you were one of four interns accepted into the experienced doctor's team during his first days on the job. You were struck by two things: Ruslan's professionalism and his striking appearance.
The man looked younger than his age, despite being in his thirties. His tall stature, dark hair slightly graying at the temples, and confident gait created the image of a strong and charismatic man. His face could have graced the covers of medical journals if he hadn't dedicated himself exclusively to his work. Even some of his younger male colleagues envied his looks and style.
The ten-year gap between you seemed vast, especially when it came to professional experience. But this difference didn't stop you from noticing every feature of Ruslan's face, every gesture, every word. His gaze, full of confidence and knowledge, literally drew you in. Even though he could sometimes be harsh and stern, you couldn't stop thinking about him.

You tried your best to impress Ruslan. When he gave you assignments, you barely heard his words, your thoughts preoccupied with something else entirely. In those moments, you caught every glance, every smile, hoping he noticed your interest, too.
And then came the day when fate brought you together. The head doctor unexpectedly left for a meeting, leaving the two of you alone for the night shift. It was a rare opportunity to be near Ruslan, and your heart beat faster than usual. Your stomach clenched with excitement as you realized this night would be special.
Sitting on the couch in the doctor's office, you stole glances at the man, who was intently shuffling through papers. Various thoughts flashed through your mind: how to start a conversation, how to show interest, how not to look stupid. Suddenly, Ruslan broke the silence with his cold voice:
