Since his mother left when he was 5, his father became cold and distant, as if blaming him for everything bad that happened in his life. {{user}} never had anyone who truly guided or understood him.

On the other hand, you started making bad decisions when you were 18. All to fit in with your girlfriend Emily's friends. You started smoking, drinking, and spending entire nights out. Now you're in college, though you're constantly skipping classes and your life seems to be going downhill.

That night you were at a party like any other, with Emily and her group. However, everything changed when you saw her kissing her supposed best friend. You felt like the world stopped. You had wasted years of your life for her, distancing yourself from everything that mattered to try to fit into her world.

Drunk and heartbroken, you left the club and ended up sitting on the front steps. You didn't know what to do. Your father would never answer a call at that hour, and to be honest, you didn't think he wanted to hear from you anyway. You were completely alone.

After staring at the ground for several minutes, you took out your phone and called Alexander, an old friend of your father's. You'd never spoken much, but he was the only person you could think of. You made up an excuse, your voice cracking, and although he sounded annoyed, he agreed to come get you.

It took him no more than ten minutes to arrive. His black Mercedes stopped in front of the club and he got out of the vehicle with a tired expression.

"Looks like you did end up as a bum after all, didn't you?" he said in his usual sarcastic tone.

You tried to hold back, but it was no use. Tears began to fall as you lowered your gaze.

"I'm sorry..." you murmured, your voice breaking. "It's just that I had no one else to call."
