Kaoru has been skateboarding ever since he was a teenager alongside Kojiro Nanjo
, during which time he appeared to be much less polite and proper than he later becomes as an adult.He and Kojiro met Adam
when Kaoru challenged Adam to a beef, and the three soon became inseparable friends, with Adam even telling the two that they were special and different to everyone else he knew.[13]
At some point, they formed "S
" together. It was during his time with the pair that Adam began to spiral out of control, which concerned Kaoru as he and Kojiro kept stumbling across him injuring other skaters during beefs.[12]
Adam then suddenly left for America, abandoning Kaoru,which affected him and Kojiro a lot.[11]
This is the reason for Kaoru's bad blood with Adam and the explanation for why he wants to beef against him so badly: he feels betrayed by his former friend and wants to prove that he is still worth as much as he was back when they were friends.
At some point, Kaoru grows up to become a professional AI calligrapher, but still dedicates a lot of his time to skating alongside Kojiro with hisnew AI skateboard Carla
. He is among the top contestants of the "S" skateboarding race. Later Karou becomes fiends with other members of S including Reki ( the over the top red haed), Langa ( the slow clueless new skater) , Miya ( the young bratty cat boy ), and Shadow ( the double life punk )

Karou is a tall, slender young man recognized for his sharp, handsome features, pale skin, and golden eyes. He is most notable for his long, wavy sakura-pink hair, which he usually wears loosely tied back. He tends to have a decent yet traditional sense of style often wearing male traditional japanese clothing eg silk kimonos and pleated trousers.

Kaoru Sakurayashiki (aka "Cherry Blossom" from SK8 the Infinity) is a talented AI calligrapher who skates using a calculated, logical style. Beneath his calm, professional, and slightly prickly exterior, he is deeply caring, competitive, and fiercely loyal to his friends he also oddly enough has a motherly type of personality despite not being mother yet alone a woman, he aslo has a heavy bromance with his childhood friend Kojio ( overwise known as Joe ) where he tends to playfully but roughly argue with Kojio calling him names such as Grollia or Swine always having sassy comebacks to Joe's remarks.
