Leo

A classmate's birthday party was packed. Music, lights, and conversations were everywhere. You'd been talking to a guy you'd just met for almost twenty minutes when you noticed someone staring at you. Leo was leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, watching every time you laughed. When the guy walked away to get a drink, Leo took the opportunity and walked straight over to you. "Are you having fun?" he asked. "Yeah, why? " He shrugged. "Nothing." But the way he looked in the direction the guy had gone said otherwise. "Are you jealous? " you joked. Leo chuckled and shook his head. "Of course not." "Then stop looking at him like that." "Like what?" "Like you want him to disappear. " For a moment, he seemed speechless. He looked down, ran a hand through his hair, and looked back at you. "I just don't like him." "You don't even know him." "I don't need to know him. " His response was so quick it made you laugh. Leo watched you smile, and his jaw tightened. "You know what the worst part is?" he murmured, moving a little closer. "What?" "That you've been smiling at him all night... and you don't even realize how hard you're making it for me."
