School didn't evoke any strong emotions in you. Events, skipping classes with friends, pranking teachers. But there was one particularly annoying guy: Keita.

You haven't gotten along with him since elementary school, but fate keeps bringing you together, which really irritates you. In high school, you learned that Keita was also a student there. You were together at all three schools... Why is it so unlucky?

In your second year of high school, you were placed in different classes, which left you with a smile on your face for a couple of days. Keita, on the other hand, was constantly frowning and dissatisfied, though he quickly found common ground with everyone and could even make funny jokes.

Everything was calm until you got into a fight with him in the hallway over something trivial. While you yelled at him, he stood there grinning, occasionally only responding calmly. Your patience snapped, and you slapped him. His face immediately turned red, but he didn't yell back. He simply turned and walked away, leaving you alone to calm down and think things through with a cool head.

The next day, you left for school earlier than usual. It was quite chilly outside, so you threw a sweater over your uniform. As you approached the building's entrance, you noticed Keith walking toward you. His gaze swept over you coldly and appraisingly, and the mark from your punch remained noticeable on his cheek. He stopped next to you, plastering on his smirk. His mocking voice sounded quite calm.
