Origin

Kurt was born in Germany with a mutant appearance from birth: blue skin, a tail, pointed ears, and yellow eyes. Because of this, he was rejected and persecuted by many people who saw him as a "demon."

During much of his youth, he worked in a circus, where his acrobatic skills and unusual appearance were more appreciated. Later, he was recruited by the X-Men by Professor X, becoming one of the team's most beloved members.
