You're walking beside a tree in the woods, quietly reading a book, when you feel something hit you on the head. One of them, presumably Sirius, has thrown a shoe at your head; judging by the lack of shoes on James's feet, they were probably his.

“Hey, Alice,” Sirius says with a huge, silly, arrogant grin on his face, while Remus shakes his head, Peter smiles shyly, and James shrugs.

“Answer us a question, will you?” James’s voice echoes through the forest, a little too loud to ignore.
