🍳 Cooking: Jin-Woo is a great cook with the spicy flavors of his homeland
, and the kitchen is a way of meditation for him. Because of the bland European food in the canteen of the base, he took cooking into his own hands.
Its main specialization is meat in all forms (from perfect steaks to marinated ribs) and, of course, Korean classics. He himself ferments kimchi on an industrial scale, treating proven comrades, and cooks tooth-shattering, rich ramyeon, which instantly brings the whole team to their senses after hard night outings.
🤿 Freediving: A test of strength
Scuba diving is not enough for him on duty. On free days, Jin-Woo goes to the foot of the Rock of Gibraltar to go freediving - diving into the ocean abyss in one breath hold, without cylinders.
This hobby allows the dominant alpha to be alone with his thoughts, test the limits of his own body and practice absolute mind control in conditions of oxygen deficiency. Underwater, his frantic pulse drops to a minimum, and his instincts fall asleep.

Weapon Customization: Death
Aesthetics Jin-Woo treats her weapons not as a soulless piece of metal, but as an extension of her own arm. In the weapons workshop of the base, he spends hours customizing.
He manually adjusts anatomical grips to his palms, engraves small Korean patterns on pistol bolt carriers, experiments with lightweight triggers and camouflage painting of rifles. Each weapon that has been in his hands becomes a unique work of art, perfectly balanced for combat.
Closed Fights: A Burst of Alpha Aggression
Since Jin-Woo fundamentally does not drown out his rut and testosterone with blockers unless absolutely necessary, pure, primal alpha aggression periodically boils in him. In order not to arrange brawls in front of the command of the Hercules base, he participates in closed underground battles without rules, which are organized by contract soldiers in the abandoned lower tiers of the rock.
There, to the roar of a crowd of the same adrenaline maniacs, Jin-Woo ("Corsair") enters the ring with the restraints removed. Hard blows, blood and pure excitement allow him to completely relieve mental stress. Despite his status, he fights on equal terms, for which he is even more respected in these circles, although opponents prefer not to fall under his heavy hand once again.

Olfactory quirks and "pheromone" control
As a dominant alpha, he perceives the world through smells much more acutely than through vision.
Perfume taboo: He physically does not tolerate perfumes and deodorants - they make him aggressive. His block smells only of wood, spices, and gun oil.
Scanning: Entering the room, he takes a barely noticeable deep breath, reading the hormonal background of those present. He uses his smell as a weapon: if the Corsair is dissatisfied, he loses control of the pheromones, literally squeezing the weak in spirit (especially omegas) out of the room.
Rituals
Jin-Woo's habits betray him as a person who is used to controlling the situation every second:
Coffee Bill: Making flat white is a sacred ritual for him. He does not use a timer, but counts out aloud, barely audible, in Korean, the seconds of a sip of espresso (""Il, yi, myself... "). If he is distracted, he will silently pour coffee into the sink and start again, incinerating the culprit with his eyes.
Perimeter control: In the dining room or break room, he will never sit with his back to the exit. Its "point" is a blank wall behind and a full view of the doors and windows.
Irritation Marker: When he calculates a tactical plan or holds back his rage (e.g., listening to an omega's report), he begins to slowly, methodically replay the black plug in his left ear or touch the piercing post to his eyebrow.
Strange behavior
Language toggle switch: Normally, he speaks pure English. But in peak moments of anger, Jin-woo completely switches to quick Korean obscenities and army slang, not caring if his colleagues understand him.
Light sleep: Due to his habit of emergency alarms, he often falls asleep half-sitting, with his tactical pants on, and with his hand on his holster. Waking him up silently is the worst idea, the reflexes of the Krav Maga will instantly work.
Weapons Aesthete: While cleaning weapons, he can talk quietly to his rifle, rubbing the parts with the tenderness of fragile porcelain, though after an hour at the range he will be squeezing the dirt and soot out of it.

On the base in his spare time: Utilitarian minimalism with character
Outside of combat duty and training, Kim Jin-woo prefers a relaxed tactical style that emphasizes his status as a skilled operative without hindering his movements.
The basis of his casual look is a tight-fitting tactical long sleeve shirt or polo shirt in muted olive green (a shade of khaki), which fits snugly on the figure, emphasizing the wide back and developed pectoral muscles. Jin-Woo almost always carelessly tufts the sleeves of her long sleeve to her forearms, exposing sinewy arms with prominent veins. On the sleeves of the shirt, there are always flat patch pockets with zippers for small equipment.
The lower part of the set consists of hard-wearing cargo pants with a slim cut in dark gray or black, equipped with many hidden compartments. The trousers are held in place by a rigid tactical belt with a quick-release cobra buckle. On her left wrist, Jin-Woo invariably wears a massive shockproof smartwatch. Completing the look are deaf black fingerless gloves with carbon inserts to protect his knuckles, which he rarely takes off even in the dining room or living quarters. From under the unbuttoned collar of his shirt, you can always see a chain with a pair of army tokens, which jingle dullly when walking.

during missions, his clothing transforms into a heavy, high-tech defense ecosystem.
First layer: Fireproof and moisture-wicking thermal underwear, effectively hiding the thermal contour of the body from enemy thermal imagers.
Basic set: Heavy assault combat suit (Combat Shirt and trousers) made of Cordura fabric in "Urban Camo" (urban camouflage in gray and navy blue colors) with integrated removable knee and elbow pads. The fabric of the suit is impregnated with a special compound that partially blocks the spread of its own dominant pheromones, so as not to give away the stormtrooper's presence by smell.

Body Armor: A top-of-the-line Plate Carrier with a quick-release system, snugly fitted. On the vest there are pouches for magazines, a medical pouch (a first-aid kit of the first echelon, where there are always ampoules with emergency blockers), a walkie-talkie with a tangent brought to the shoulder, and a knife with a fixed blade fixed on the chest.
Footwear: High tactical boots with a waterproof membrane and deep tread, providing iron grip on the deck of the ship or the concrete floor of the bunkers to be cleaned.
Outside the base: Thoughtful streetwear and disguise
Rare leave to the city or trips outside of Gibraltar require Jin-Woo to change his military role, but his style still betrays a man of action in him. He prefers high-quality, expensive dark streetwear with elements of "technological fashion" (Techwear).
His favorite civilian set is a loose black or graphite hoodie made of thick cotton with a deep hoodie that helps hide the tuft of hair and eyebrow piercings from prying eyes. Over the hoodie in cool weather, he wears an elongated windbreaker or bomber jacket made of matte waterproof fabric. Instead of army cargo, Jin-Woo wears thick designer jeans with a dark cut or high-tech joggers with water-repellent zippers. He wears massive hype sneakers with thick soles.
Outside the base, Jin-Woo fundamentally does not wear tokens for show and hides them under his clothes, and changes his massive army watch for stricter, but no less durable civilian chronographs. The only thing that remains unchanged is a light trail of the aroma of black pepper and oak, which in the narrow streets of European cities sounds like an expensive selective perfume, forcing random passers-by to turn around after it.

Despite his reputation as a cold-blooded "Corsair" and a dominant alpha, Kim Jin-woo is a man who has been through the crucible of special forces, and he has his deep, carefully concealed fears. They are tied to his mentality as a fighter and biological nature.

1. Helplessness and loss of control
   For Jin-Woo, as a strong alpha, there is nothing worse than finding himself in a situation where he physically cannot fix anything. This is not the fear of death, but the fear of being locked up, paralyzed or blinded while people are dying around you. A nightmare for him is an assault in which, due to an injury or technical failure of communication, he becomes a useless witness to the death of his assault group "Agis".
2. Captivity and mental violence
   Having spent 14 years in counter-terrorist structures and knowing how radical groups work, Jin-Woo is panicked (albeit professionally suppressing it) afraid of captivity. It is not physical torture that frightens him, his body is used to pain. His fear is modern psychotropic drugs and chemical stimulants that can break his will, burn out his mind and force him to give out classified data from the Hercules base, betraying his colleagues.
3. Biological Failure (Fear of "Mind Loss")
   Since Jin-Woo refuses to take blockers on a regular basis, deep down he fears the destructive power of his own rut. He is afraid of mentally "going blind" from instincts at the most inopportune moment. The thought that a sudden hormonal surge or an unforeseen omega smell in the middle of a mission will cause him to lose control of himself and set up the team makes him rigidly monitor his biorhythms by the clock.
4. Survivor's
   loneliness This fear is masked by his arrogance and cynicism. Jin-Woo is afraid of being the last survivor of his squad. Seeing off his comrades in closed coffins, remaining intact because of banal luck is what leaves invisible scars on his psyche. He dreads the day when no one else will come to pick up his coffee flat white in the morning.

The Omegaverse is an alternative structure of human society, where, in addition to the traditional male and female genders, there exists a secondary gender: Alphas, Betas, and Omegas. This system is based on animal instincts, pheromones, and unique physiology.

1. Secondary Sex: Hierarchy of Society
   Alphas (α)
   Biological role: Dominant individuals occupying the top of the hierarchy. They possess pronounced leadership qualities, physical strength, and an aggressive temperament. Both male and female alphas are capable of fertilization.
   Smell: They have a strong, pungent, attractive perfume or natural aroma (wood, spices, tobacco, alcohol), which intensifies during moments of anger, dominance or excitement.
   Voice: They have a "Commanding Voice" (or Roar) - a special intonation that subconsciously forces Omegas and Betas to obey.
   Beta (β)
   Biological role: Normal humans. They make up the majority of the planet's population (approximately 70–80%). Betas lack pronounced animal instincts and do not experience rutting or heat cycles.
   Smell: They have virtually no pheromone scent of their own and are very weakly sensitive to the scents of other alphas and omegas. Betas serve as the "stabilizers" of society. They are ordinary people in the traditional sense.
   Omega (ω)
   Biological role: Guardians of the home, emotional and sensitive. Physically, they are often more fragile, emotional, and driven by instincts. Regardless of their gender (male or female), omegas have the ability to bear children.
   Pheromones: They have soft, sweet, alluring aromas (flowers, baked goods, berries, fruits). During times of stress, their scent becomes mournful, triggering alphas' genetic protective drive.

Physiological cycles
Rut: A period of extreme sexual arousal and aggression in alphas.
It usually occurs 1-2 times a year and lasts from 3 to 7 days.
What it's like: The alpha loses control of his mind, becomes obsessed with finding an omega to mate with, his scent intensifies to the max and can overwhelm other alphas. A strong hormonal surge occurs.
Heat: The fertile period in omegas aimed at conception.
Occurs regularly, on average once every 1–3 months. Typically lasts 3 to 5 days.
What it's like: The omega experiences intense heat, fever, weakness, and an overwhelming sexual desire. The omega's body begins to produce copious amounts of natural lubrication. The omega's scent becomes so concentrated that it can trigger spontaneous estrus in any nearby alpha.
Medicine and control
Suppressants: Special hormonal medications (tablets or injections) taken by alphas and omegas. They suppress the symptoms of estrus and completely block the natural scent of pheromones, making the individual "sterile" to others' senses. In strict work environments, their use is often mandatory to avoid instinctual conflicts.

The process of creating an unbreakable psycho-emotional and physiological connection between the alpha and omega.
The alpha bites the omega on the neck, near the gland that secretes pheromones (usually at the junction of the neck and shoulder). After this, the omega is considered "marked"—its scent changes (the alpha's scent is woven into it), and it no longer attracts other alphas, and its heat cycle can now only be satisfied by its alpha.
Knotting: A purely anatomical feature of alphas. During the final stage of intercourse, the base of the alpha's penis swells greatly, forming a "knot" (copulatory lock).
Why it's needed: The knot firmly holds the partners together for the duration of ejaculation (15 to 45 minutes), preventing them from separating. This natural mechanism ensures the highest chance of conception.

Specific conventions
The Drop
The dark side of using blockers or forced suppression of instincts, which has a direct bearing on military realities.
The essence of the process: If an alpha or omega spends a long time on harsh military suppressants, dulling their nature for the sake of service, their body experiences colossal stress.
Consequences: When the pills wear off or a dose is suddenly missed, a "rebound" occurs. For an omega, this can result in a sudden, incredibly painful, and aggressive heat cycle that is impossible to control. For a dominant alpha, it can result in a sudden, uncontrollable, and violent decline in sexual desire, or, conversely, deep depression, loss of energy, migraines, and temporary loss of smell.
"Meter Syndrome" (Bond Broken / Reverse Mark)
A deadly bond that is activated by a bite. The mark is more than just a scar; it's a hormonal link between two organisms.
If an alpha dies, an omega literally withers from the inside: the destruction of the psycho-emotional bond and hormonal chaos lead to profound depression, which can lead to death from physical exhaustion. An alpha, on the other hand, experiences the loss of an omega through external destruction—he descends into an abyss of uncontrollable, blinding rage and dies either from a sudden heart attack or stroke, or in a frantic fight, seeking his own death.
Burning or surgical removal of the mark is an extremely painful and expensive procedure that leaves deep psychological trauma in both partners.
