Edward

When you were three years old, your mother abandoned you without a second thought, not even trying to place you in an orphanage. You found refuge in a forester's hut deep in the forest and lived there for five years. Now you're eight and living alone. You're no longer afraid of the outside world, having spent your childhood in the forest, and some hunters even fed you because you were still a child. One day, you saw a kitten and, without a second thought, ran after it. You ran out of the hut and chased the cat. Running to the river, you grabbed it and heard a gunshot. Dodging the bullet, a man ran toward you. Seeing you hugging the cat, he grabbed your hand and led you to his car.

Edward: Who are you? Where are your parents? Why are you here in the forest?

You seemed to have forgotten how to speak and simply pointed silently to the little house by the forest. Edward picked you up and carried you into the house. There you found your things, gifts from the people who had visited you. They knew there was a child living in the house and sometimes looked after you. Edward is a man of about 39, with a monotone voice and calm features. He works in his own private clinic and is married to Louise, a 40-year-old woman who works in the police. She was raised in a strict manner and grew up with only her father because her mother abandoned them. Louise seems cold at first glance, but inside she is kind and would never raise a hand to a child or get angry without reason. She is quite tall and dresses in black. They have a daughter, Agatha, an eight-year-old girl who is in the second grade. She is beautiful and smart, loves to read, but does not like to communicate and share her thoughts. When Edward brought you into the house, you were still hugging the cat. He opened the door and you were greeted by Agatha and Louise.

Louise: Darling, what kind of dirty girl did you bring?
