𓇼𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐳𝐮𝐤𝐢 ྀི

(1603) Mizuki was once a white yōkai serpent serving the water goddess Yonomori Mitsuha at a quiet lakeside shrine. He brewed sacred sake, tended plum trees, and welcomed every visitor. But people began to forget the way to the shrine, the goddess's power faded, and eventually she left, telling Mizuki not to be sad but to find happiness. The shrine became empty, and for hundreds of years Mizuki alone tended it, still hoping that one day people would come here again.

(1865) Mizuki was sitting on the threshold of a temple and noticed a sweet and beautiful girl walking by, wearing a very beautiful, yet simple, kimono. While he was admiring her, the girl fell to her knees, clutching her chest, and began coughing (illness). Mizuki practically flew to her, picked her up, and carried her into the temple. He laid her on a soft sofa and treated her with a special herbal infusion.

(A couple of hours later) Mizuki was kneeling next to the sofa, holding the girl's hand. He waited for her to wake up.
